Open Water Diving Course

What is it about?:

It consists on an Open Water SCUBA Diving course developed in two weekends. The fisrt weekend covers diving lectures and swimming-pool practice required to obtain the basic NAUI or PADI diving license. The second weekend involves a marine trip to Isla†Tortuga†to do the first immersions in the sea.

It includes:

Lectures, SCUBA diving equipment, swimming-pool use and instructional materials. During the marine trip, room and board (1 night and 1 lunch, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast and 2 snacks) are covered along with boat and private bus transportation and entrance to Curķ Biological Reserve. Each student is covered with insurance from INS.

4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Documentary on marine reality in Costa Rica

SATURDAY 7, August
5:30 a.m. Departure from San José (in front of Banco de Costa Rica, Paseo Colón)
8:30 a.m. Departure os Paquera Ferry
10:00 a.m. Cabin accomodation and preparation for diving
10:30 a.m. Preparation of SCUBA diving equipment
11:00 a.m. a 2:30 p.m. Departure on boat to Isla Tortuga, two dives, rest and snack
2:30 a 4:30 p.m. Break time
7:00 p.m. Dinner
8:30 p.m. Talk

SUNDAY 8, August
6:00 a.m. Breakfast
7:00 a.m. Departure to Curķ Biological Reserve
8:15 a 9:15 a.m. Preparation of SCUBA diving equipment and departure to Isla Tortuga
10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Two dives, rest and snack
3:00 a 5:00 p.m. Break and preparation for departure
5:30 a 7:00 p.m. Arrival to Puntarenas
10:30 p.m. Arrival to San José (stops in Paseo Colón and Central Park)

What to take with you?

Light and fresh clothes
High capacity sun block
Water bottle
Protective, non slippery and washable shoes
Water proof camera

How are the facilities?
Stay is in cabins, with simple style, two single beds and double occupancy. Restaurant in the cabins with excellent food.
Comfortable bus covered with insurance for all the passangers
Glass fiber boats, highly stable and safe with capacity for 10 people. All the passangers are covered with insurance from INS.

Payment can be made through any of the following options:
Deposit at Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, in dollar account number 200-02-148-000967-5, registered under Fundación Promar.
Directly in our affice located 125 meters North from Toyota Building, Paseo Colón (next to IPC Computación), for payment in cash or with credit or debit card (any card use adds 7% above the price per person).
